DESTERRADOS
Cristina Gutiérrez and Damià Puig went to Colombia with the aim of recording a couple of interviews to make a trailer and later, to obtain resources to produce a documentary that will make visible the living conditions of Afro-Colombian communities in the Caribbean. There they met Adil, a Colombian Caribbean lawyer specialized in human rights, who fights relentlessly against multinationals and for the defense of the environment and the communities he represents.
At this crossroads, Aguas de Barcelona appeared, a company that Damià and Cristina know because they are Catalans. Many communities hold Aguas de Barcelona responsible for having deprived them of their future by destroying their lakes, beaches and all their means of production and subsistence. On this subject, Adil tells us that this company and the Multinational Zues represent the pain and exile of thousands of Afro-descendant families of fishermen who have lost everything because of the multinational that, without any scruples, operates in the Caribbean under the name of Aguas de Cartagena.
